NSO is raising funds to purchase "The Hate U Give" novels and movie tickets for our YouthLink students.
Support young men and women in NSO's YouthLink program as they learn to challenge themselves and their community using the lessons learned after reading the acclaimed novel "The Hate U Give" by Angie Thomas followed by a visit to see the movie in theaters now. "The Hate U Give" shares a message that will resonate with our young people concerning fairness. The book and movie take us beyond the sound bites heard in the media to represent the real people and communities behind the today's headlines.
NSO’s YouthLink is a year-round youth workforce development program designed to provide youth and young adults 14-24 years of age, on Detroit’s east side with the opportunity to invest in their own future. The program provides employment skills, life and social skills, mentoring, tutoring, career training and job placement.
