Please join us for a very special fundraising event on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 2pm at The Detroit Repertory Theatre for the play, “Countdown to the Happy Day.” Gertie, a troubled army veteran and self-made bag lady encounters Cervin, a hulking seventh grade dropout. The emotionally combustible relationship that ensues proves to us and to them, that Black lives matter. In the play’s final moments they together chant a “countdown” to a happy day they both so crave.

Tickets are only $25. A $2.50 Online Service Fee is included in the price of each ticket. Proceeds from this production will benefit the Judith Dianne Jackson Scholarship Fund.

For more information regarding tickets, please call Omari Taylor at 313-961-4890, ext. 1021.
